June 21
Like last year, we are very appreciative of the members who support the show. The proceeds from the show finances activities and materials throughout the year.
A raffle will be held for a carving knife at the meeting after the show. For each activity that you participate in, you will receive one raffle ticket. So how can you support the show?
-Show committee (numbers are limited on this, let me know if you interested)
-Assist in setting up the show Friday October 4, 9am-Noon
-Participate in one of the training sessions (October 2-4 (1-3 day sessions)
(October 7-9 (1-3 day sessions)
-Rent a table
-Enter a carving in the show
-Attend the show (sign in at my table if this is your only activity on list)
-Donate small carving for free public raffle
-Work at the show (registration, table duty, auction)
-Clean up at end of show Sunday, October 6, 4-6pm
Free Public Raffle
To encourage the public to come to the show, we will hold a raffle starting at 1pm Saturday, and every hour thru out the show. The raffle is free to the public and will be included in our advertising. You must be present to win, club members are excluded from the raffle. So, we need nine small carvings (ornaments, etc.)

joy.

The Show & Competition is Sat/Sun, October 5/6
Several of the training sessions are 1 and 2 days so you don't have to take a 3 day seminar.
Here’s the current list of instructors:
• Gary Falin, Roughouts
. Allen Goodman, Walking Sticks
. Richard Houlden, Santa Face
. Ed Lampert, Carving on a Corner

And finally (for this month), thanks for all the donations for the raffle/auction. A spreadsheet
will be out soon for the participation drawing with the winner getting a Deep Hollow Knife.
Other ways to participate if helping set up/ shutdown the show, enter carvings in the show,
take the training, show committee, attend the show and rent a table.
